What is Tui Na?
Tui Na is a generic term for remedial Chinese Healing Massage, literally meaning to push (tui) and to grasp (na). TuiNa is practiced in Traditional Medical Hospitals all over China. TuiNa therapists receive a great deal of respect and gratitude for their healing method.
In the West, it is much less common, but with the increased awareness in overall health care, many people are turning to this centuries old proven approach to improve health.
TuiNa is older than the ancient art of acupuncture. Many people suffer from a variety of health problems: back pain, headaches, poor circulation, high blood pressure, stiff joints, stress, sore muscles, etc.. TuiNa offers an alternative method for treating these ailments, without expensive and sometimes debilitating drugs.
During a TuiNa treatment you will experience an invigorating, revitalizing and relaxing massage. TuiNa works by stimulating specific points, meridians, muscles and "ouch" points. This allows the vital energy, Chi, to become balanced. In a healthy body, Chi flows freely. When it is restricted or blocked, illness occurs. Depending on the severity of blockage, more treatments may be needed to achieve balance and restore health and vitality.
